On Wednesday, November 6th, SENSE hosted Donuts for Dudes. It was attended by 88 dudes (fathers, uncles, grandfather, male guardians...) who had donuts and juice with their children from grades Kindergarten to 2nd grade.
The dudes and their children together drew picture portraits of each other and listened to a presentation on gun safety, provided by Sargent Gard of the Southeast District precinct. Eleven gun locks were given out to help assure the safety of our children. Raffle prizes given to a six lucky people. Then after the event, dudes either walked their children back to their class or visited the Book Fair that is happening all this week at SENSE. Thanks to all who were able to give their time to attend Donuts for Dudes. The students appreciated seeing their families at these kinds of events. And make your calendar. Muffins for Moms will be held on March 12th!
