Sharing! — September 5, 2008
SENSE students and teachers gathered for the first SENSEABILITY assembly of the year. Each letter in SENSEABILITY stands for a character trait we should learn to strive for. Second graders in Ms. Pierce's class presented the first letter, S, which stands for SHARING.
Back to School! — August 23, 2008
Students join art teacher Billy Phillips in a filming session Saturday, August 23. Coordinated by Mr. Phillips and his contact at Venogram LLC, their work will be part of the commercials for "From Invisible to Invincible," which will play at the 2008 Annual Campecine Film Festival, which runs September 26 and 27 at the Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA).

Students set up their desks, greeted friends, and met new teachers. Some students are at SENSE for the first time, and others are at school for the first time—welcome!

Computer Club Publishes Web Tips for Families, June 03, 2008
One of the 4th Quarter After-School clubs, the Computer Club, researched and published a parent guide for establishing safe Internet habits for kids. They also practiced typing, learned email ettiquite, and dissected a school computer. (It still works!)

Science Fair -- 5th and 6th Grade, May 23, 2008
SENSE 5th and 6th Graders competed in the 2nd-annual Science Fair. Judges from the community appraised over two-dozen projects exploring subjects ranging from surface tension to electromagnetism to watering plants with bottled or tap water.
Evening of the Arts, May 13 and 15, 2008
In a wonderful departure from tradition, the Spring Program this year featured work from all four specials classes: art, music, physical education, and Spanish. After singing on the Horizon stage, students walked with families through the student art gallery, physical education demonstration area, and Guatemalan crafts station!
