Tomorrow's cross country meet is at Ellenberger Park near Irvington. They schedule says Irvington, but the actual meet is at the park.
On Thursday, September 5th, SENSE families gathered in the evening to create masks and decorations for this year's Art Parade.
Join us for the Art Parade as we march to show we are Wild for SENSE!
We need your support and animal roars as we show our SENSE pride. Come dressed as a wild animal in animal prints and bring any wild animal safari there on Saturday September 15th.
Line up for the parade at 4:30 pm in the parking lot of 901 Shelby Street. Parade starts at 5:00 pm. And join us afterwards for the Block Party with free food and games for the family.
Friends and families of SENSE work together to put an end to hunger. These items will be used to create weekend back-sacks. #stampouthunger

Rescheduled Meet!
The meet that was cancelled on August 29th has been rescheduled for September 10th at Enlace Academy at 5:30!
Make sure your runner has their uniform, tennis shoes, and water bottle.

Mrs. Fisher’s 4th grade class “Shouted Out” their classmates 76 times in the month of August. Each month they do a drawing for Class Coupons and this is this months winners.
It is fun with a purpose, with hands-on learning and achievement for the boys in SENSE Charter School’s Cub Scout troop, Pack 18. The boys are from grades 1st-3rd. The boys are building their own catapults from a kit. All the scouts at SENSE Charter are able to participate free of charge through the generosity of the Lilly Endowment. This is great investment in a child’s education and future. There is a wait list for this Club. If you are interested in being a Scout leader please email Kate Voss at kvoss@senseindy.org
WILD ANIMAL SAFARI FAMILY WORKSHOP
Help us prep for the Art Parade

We will be once again participating in the Fountain Square Art Parade. This year we will be marching to a wild beat and dress ourselves as animals to show we are WILD for SENSE! Please join us for a workshop to create props and decorations for the parade; including animal masks.

School resumes on Tuesday, September 4th. Doors open at 7:30 for Breakfast and classes start at 8:15am.
Change to AFTERNOON Transportation procedure.
The construction on Shelby is going to block off the exit for the buses in the afternoons, so we will be moving Bus Pickup to the Front of the School (Pick up Only). The new process will start next Tuesday, Sept 4, 2018.
1. Car Rider Parents will stay in the parking lot and students will be loaded there.
a. Students will gather in the New Cafeteria (by the front office)
b. A Staff member will radio students to the Parking lot and load there.
2. Picker Upper and Walker Students will be dismissed to the OLD Cafeteria. (by the old front entrance)
i. They will exit out that door and be directed towards the north Cross walk if needed.
ii. Parents should wait by the old front entrance rather than by the new one.
3. Buses will line up in the “cut out”, in front of the school (on Barth), please do not block that area.
This should have little or no impact on our SENSE Neighbors on Barth. At most there might be one bus staged just south of the parking lot, but not in front of any homes.

Today in Mrs. Fisher’s class they reviewed multiplication properties playing a game called “Link 4 Dinosaurs” which is a twist on the game Connect Four!

Pink Bus/Boys & Girls Club Notice - Urgent
The SENSE food pantry will be open tomorrow, Thursday, August 30th from 8:30-9:30 am and again from 3:30-4:30 pm. Our food pantry is only open to the families of our school. Bring your own bags for extra points.
SENSE is dismissing early tomorrow (Wednesday August 29th) at 1:15PM for Parent Teacher Conferences. Buses will be dropping off students two hours earlier than normal and Car Riders and "Picker Uppers" should be picked up two hours earlier as well. Thanks!
