Fun with Science in Mrs. Fisher's fourth grade! In Science they are learning about Simple Machines. This week they learned about wheels and axles. They made a wheel and axle today to see how far it would travel down the inclined plane outside. How far do you think they went?
Students in Mrs. Fisher's 4th grade class discussed how theme could be similar to a Hostess Cupcake to vegin their unit on theme. They came to the conclusion that themes are not always stated and sometimes you have to imply the theme. A Hostess Cupcake has a hidden filling inside like theme could be a hidden message in a book from the author!

In Mrs. Fisher's fourth grade class they been learning how multiplication is similar to comparisons this week in Math. Today before their quiz they practiced by making their own number sentences, bar models, and word problems to match the number sentence and bar model! 👍🏻🎲✖️
In Mrs. Fisher's fourth grade class they are learning about Simple Machines in Science. This week they learned about levers and how they are useful to us! Today they made one and predicted where to put the fulcrum in order to get the pencil topper in the cup!

The SENSE Charter School Food Pantry will be open tomorrow, Thursday September 7th. The hours are 8:30-10:00 am and then again 3:30-4:30 pm. The pantry is only open to the families of SENSE. Please enter the double door off of the back alley. We encourage you to bring your own shopping bags. You will receive more points. Hope to see you all there!

Mrs. Fisher's 4th Grade class has been giving their classmates a "Shout Out" when they notice a peer showing a part of the Circle Of Courage. They had 85 Shout Outs during the month of August!! 🤗👏🏼🎉
Today they drew 10 of the Shout Outs and those 10 students got to choose a Shout Out Coupon! Way to go! I wonder how many Shout Outs they will give in September!
